Nancy O'Dell began her broadcast career as an anchor and reporter at WPDE-TV which was located in Myrtle Beach South Carolina. She later became a morning news anchor as well as crime reporter for WCBD TV. Her articles from Charleston concerning how Charleston police handled DUI cases with leniency resulted in an investigation by the State Law Enforcement Division. The inquiry led to a stronger direction for state officials. Ms. O'Dell was honored by the Associated Press with the Best Report of the Year award for all media in South Carolina. O'Dell was then employed by the Miami-based NBC station WTVJ-TV as an investigative reporter, before she joined Access Hollywood in the role as a weekend anchor. Alongside her work as a lead anchor on Access Hollywood Ms. O'Dell also contributes to NBC News' Today and in addition for Dateline NBC. She's reported on The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys The Golden Globe Awards and co-hosted numerous pre-show arrivals show for The Emmys And The Golden Globes. She also co-hosted The Miss USA pageant as well as the Miss USA pageant and the Miss Universe pageant.
